Lauren Seal is the author of the young adult novel-in-verse Light Enough to Float, winner of a Schneider Family Honor Book Award. She is a former St. Albert Poet Laureate and University of Alberta Alumni Horizon Award winner. She assistant directs the teen and young adult poets of SWYC, the Spoken Word Youth Choir, and performs in the adult incarnation of the group. When she isn’t busy writing, Lauren can be found reading, out on a long walk, or being bossed around by her senior dog.
